Dale had a good nights sleep last night with the help of some morphine and is feeling better today. He had a fever of 102 yesterday, but it is down to 98 today. The doctors said it was normal to have a slight fever after surgery. They had him up taking walks yesterday and he did really well. He had a cart in front of him with all his pumps for his chest tubes, his nose tube, his J-tube,his pee bag and his IV cart, but it did not slow him down. He took 4 walks yesterday. This morning they took his two chest tubes out and he says it feels alot better with those out. He will get a J-tube feeding today for the first time. That will be his first type of food since Tuesday. He has been getting nurishment through an IV since his surgery.
Dale's parents went home this morning. They were going to stick around if his fever persisted, but Pat felt good about leaving since his fever was gone. Mom is here at the hospital, Clint went home this morning to feed the cows big round bales and get them restocked to get by for a day or two. He will be back tomorrow. I am staying at Kim & Buds. 25 minute drive isn't bad. We left the hospital last night at 10:30 and I was back at 7. Brittany has been by after work and will keep checking in.
I will post more later.

When the kids were young we always spent a night during the Christmas
season to ooh and aah over Christmas lights and go out to supper. It was a
tradition...
